"This album is certainly not vintage ARS. It does not have the distinctive soul of the previous releases. Having eight years pass since the marvelous "Quinella" (1981), an entirely new decade with it's own sound had arrived. The synthesizer-pop heavy 80's...ARS attempts to join the party with a very 80's sounding (almost 38 special like) effort. For all the things it's not, Truth In A Structured Form is a good album for the time period. It certainly sounds dated now, but for the timeframe it holds it's own with it's peers. That said, not an essential in the ARS catalogue; But for $3.00 used on Amazon, give it a shot if you're a fan."

"SOME PEOPLE THOUGHT THAT TRUTH IN A STRUCTURED FORM WASN'T ONE OF ARS BEST ALBUMS, BUT TO ME THAT IS NOT THE CASE....RONNIE HAMMONDS SMOOTH VOCALS AND THE SUPER SMOOTH SOUNDS OF BARRY BAILEY AND STEVE STONE ON GUITARS HAVE NEVER BEEN BETTER....AND DON'T FORGET BRO. DEAN DAUGHTRY ON THE KEYBOARDS. THIS ALBUM REALLY HOLDS A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART... I WAS MARRIED BACK IN 1989 WHEN THIS ALBUM CAME OUT AND MY WIFE AND I JUST FELL IN LOVE WITH HAMMONDS SMOOTH VOCALS ON SONGS SUCH AS "AWESOME LOVE", "I WANT YOU HERE WITH ME", I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE, AND HOW MUCH LOVE IS ENOUGH JUST TO NAME A FEW.....I LOST MY WIFE BACK IN 1997 AND THAT WAS TOUGH AND I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS ON CD EVER SINCE....WHEN THIS CD CAME IN AND I PLAYED IT, I MEAN TEARS JUST STARTED STREAMING DOWN MY FACE...NOT TEARS OF SORROW, TEARS OF JOY.... THIS REMINDED ME OF THE GOOD TIMES WE HAD TOGETHER AND HOW MUCH WE LOVED EACH OTHER AND HOW MUCH WE LOVED ARS......I NOW OWN EVERY ARS CD THAT IS AVAILABLE AND AM PATIENTLY WAITING ON THE REISSUES THAT ARE COMING OUT IN MARCH AND MAY...TRUTH IN A STRUCTURED FORM IS TRULY A RARE GEM IN THE MUSIC WORLD... IF YOU LIKE GREAT SOUTHERN ROCK AND THE BEST VOCALIST IN THE BUSINESS, THEN I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS AND ANY OTHER ARS CD YOU CAN GET YOUR HANDS ON......THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.......GOD BLESS EVERYONE THAT READS THIS AND MAY RONNIE HAMMOND COME BACK TO ARS JUST ONE MORE TIME....."

"I would have never gotten this if not for R. Tannery's review. I'm definitely glad I did, though. It's not mind-blowing, and it doesn't even sound that much like classic ARS, but it is very enjoyable from start to finish and is well worth the regular price of a cd--and certainly well worth the reduced price that I paid for my used copy."
