"I bought this album without hearing any songs on it- the main reason was because they reminded me of Josie and the Pussycats(you know, 3 girls, Kitten in the title). It was a silly reason to get the album, but the album turned out to be very good.
Atomic Kitten may be a group from England (and everyone knows 50% of British pop groups stink...example-Spice Girls, and 30% of pop groups in general stink). But Atomic Kitten's US debut is smooth, modern sounding, and easy to enjoy. Track by Track review...
1. It's OK-It has a nice violin intro, and then it's turns into a song with an R&B song with a very nice thumpy beat.
2. Be With You-This song is amazing because it's very chilled out club beat but then at the chorus it turns into this swirly glitzy pop song.
3. Tide is High(Get the Feeling)- It's an update of the Blondie(be sure to check out music by Blondie) song. This version gets rid of all the reggae/ska that was in the original. The tempo also is slower and smoother than the original.
4. Feels So Good- Like the other reviewers mentioned, this was co-written by Kylie Mingoue("Can't Get You Out of My Head" "Love At First Sight"). The song is one of those happy dance pop songs that runs in the same vein as the Kylie Minogue song "Love at First Sight" .
5. Walking on Water- The bells at the beginning give the song a very nice sound. This song is a pop song with a beat that swings.
6. Love Doesn't Have to Hurt- It's a very smooth midtempo pop song. On the first listen this song is easily overlooked, but after a few listens it'll stick in your head.
7. Love Won't Wait- It's a funky song, at the beginning you might be worried that it'll be a cheesy disco song, but then once it get's started it sounds more like a modern club song with a jangly, in-your-face sounding chorus.
8. Whole Again- Smooth syrupy R&b/Pop. There's another version sung by Play on Nickelodeon, but I like the Atomic Kitten version better.
9. The Last Goodbye- Bouncy beat, mid-tempo almost slow song. This song could probably get a lot of play at graduations.
10. Right Now- Glittery, Swirly, pumped up, with a chorus that's almost shout-a-long.
11. Eternal Flame- Cover of the Bangles song(I've never heard the original so I can't compare them). This is another song that could get a lot of Graduation play. The vocals on this song are very clear and the song is pretty.
12. The Moment You Leave Me- Good finish to the album. It's melodic, mid-tempo during verses, almost up-tempo during choruses, smooth pop. All in all, I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't mind listening to some pop, the lyrics aren't stupid or cheesy or empty, (Unlike other pop "artists" who can remain anonymous), but they aren't too deep. When I hear the other pop stars on the charts I would rather have Atomic Kitten at the top than the others."

"If you're a pop fan you'll definately enjoy this cd! Unfortunately, pop music doesn't get much airplay on the radio anymore but this is a definate must-have for any pop fanatic! The cd is complete, not really any 'filler-tracks'. A general all-around decent cd! Every song has something special about it!The best songs on this cd are:"It's OK" - A good song if you want to feel empowered after a break-up! Nice r&b beat!"Be With You' - Can't say anything other than it's unique in the way it's sang and it sounds really good! A real feel-good song!"Tide Is High" - This is a typical cover song, it's been previously covered once before, it's good though."Feels So Good" - I remember hearing it and thinking, wow this sorta sounds like Kylie Minoque's stuff.. well guess what, she wrote it! No wonder!"Walking On The Water" - Plain and simple, a pretty song!"Love Won't Wait" - Fun & simple dance song!"Whole Again" - It's a very sweet song about long-lasting love."The Last Goodbye" - Another empowering song for break-ups."
Atomic Kitten: The Cat's Meow?

"Atomic Kitten are a girlband from England, who have been mighty successful everywhere in the world...except the U.S.A. It's a shame because their American debut is pretty good. They're better then some pop acts today (i.e. Justin Timberlake, "X-Tina") and their music is great from ballads to dance tracks. I'll bet on this act to be America's new sweethearts by the end of '03 and with an album like this, they could easily hang with likes of Madonna and Britney. Each tune is radio friendly like the first single, "The Tide is High," a cover of Blondie's tune from the '80's. The track listing goes as follows and each track is rated from one * to five *'s.
1.It's OK - [5 *'s] - This should be the next single, easily one of the best tracks on the album.
2.Be With You - ** - It's hard to follow up the opener and this falls right down hill after, "Ok." It's more of a dancey track.
3.The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling) - [5 *'s} - Great! This a great tune for the Spring. It is pop music.
4.Feels So Good - [3 *'s] - This is co-written by Kylie Minogue which gives away this is a dance track.
5.Walking On Water - [3 *'s] - Average track, slower than the others.
6.Love Doesn't Have To Hurt - [3 *'s] - A mid tempo pop tune, the new single for the U.K.
7.Love Won't Wait - ** - A track which I usually skip, definatly pop music.
8.Whole Again - [5 *'s] - This was the first U.S.A single released in April 2002, it never went anywhere so they left the U.S. to conquer the rest of the world. A slow ballad.
9.Last Goodbye - [5 *'s] - This track reminds me of Christmas, it is a slow ballad which is easily one of the best tracks on the album.
10.Right Now - [4 *'s]- The group's first U.K. single released in 1999, it reached #10. I could picture Kylie doing this track. It is fast dance pop.
11.Eternal Flame - [5 *'s] - The best track on the album. It is mid tempo and was originally sung by the Bangles.
12.The Moment You Leave Me - Another average pop track. A weak point on the album, I wouldn't have recommended to end with this."

Atomic Kitten - About to Break the US

"The Liverpool trio has finally come across the pond and look certain to make a lasting mark on the US. "Atomic Kitten" combines the best of both their albums in the UK, a variety that includes ballads, dance tunes, and great pop songs. The album starts off with It's Ok, an upbeat RnBish tune that peaked at #3 in the UK charts.
"Be With You" is next, a song not included on either of hte UK albums (it was released as a single though). Great dance tune that would go great in the clubs.
"Tide is High", the most successful track from the kitten's second album is a remake of the blondie version. It is also featured in the Lizzie McGuire movie and is the first single the kittens will be promoting in the US.
"Feels So Good" is an upbeat tune that will probably remind you of Kylie Minogue.. that could be because she wrote it specially for the kittens!
"Walking on the Water" is one of my personal favorites.. it has an incredibly catchy chorus!
"Love Doesn't Have to Hurt" is the Kittens latest single in the UK. A very sweet ballad.
"Love Won't Wait" is a Funky dance tune that will get you on your feet!
"Whole Again" was the Kittens first hit, topping the UK charts with it for 4 weeks. An upbeat ballad that has propelled the kittens to stardom all over the world.
"The Last Goodbye" is another ballad that shows off the girls' wonderful voices.
"Right Now" is another song from the Kittens first album.. it's a catchy upbeat tune that's sure to be popular amoung kids.
"Eternal Flame" is also from their first album and was their second no. 1 song in the UK. It's a cover of the Bangles' version and the kittens sing it wonderfully.
"The moment you Leave Me" Not sure why they ended with this song, but whatever. It's a mid-tempo song, probably one of the weaker on the album but not bad. With the right promotion, the Kittens should take the US by storm!"
