"This is one of those bands you come across and don't keep track of them, and after many years you wonder what happened to them but you can not find their trace anymore. I used to own Violent by Nature back when a was a teenager recorded on a tape, I lost it, and now I would like to have it again, because it was cool."
Great album but...

"This a great album from local faves, and one of the best Arizona-born metal bands (along with Sacred Reich and Flotsam & Jetsam [I'd actually place Atrophy right between those, as far as quality of bands go]). It sounds great on what players this will play on...and there is the problem: This CD does not play on all CD players, and I am not able to upload it to my computer, either. I like to have all the music I'm currently listening to on my computer, so I don't have to carry the CD's around. I'm a tad disappointed because I was looking forward to checking out some of the other reissues in this series (Atrophy's "Socialized Hate," albums by Sadus, Gorguts, Heathen, Pestilence, and Solitude Aeturnus, among others), but I am not sure I want to spend the money if I can't be positive I can play them."
Finest thrash from the 80's...

"
Back in the day i bought this gem on cassette, gladly i found it on CD but way expensive along with their first album, "Socialized hate". On this album Atrophy improves their vocal duties far better than their first and a more interesting guitar riffs also the production is better. Recommended if you like Exodus, Xentrix and the likes!!"

"I consider this one of those 80's/90's thrash cds that are a must-have for any collection. I love it! I don't own Socialized Hate yet, but according to other reviews, this is the better of the two cds that Atrophy released. It's quite a gem, and the good thing..... you can still get it at a reasonable price (unlike bands like Exumer, Dark Angel, & Mandator). The entire album has a great fast tempo. The favorite for most is the track "Puppies and Friends," but like I said.... it's an all around solid album. Worth picking up for under $15."
Awesome thrash album from 1990

"This album blew me away. A pretty much unknown band makes a great album? That's crazy. Not really, but they only made two albums. I didn't expect this album to be so good. It kinda sounds like Testament because of the guitar tone and some of the riffs sound a little like Sodom but it's an original album and just awesome. Buy this album now!"
