CD ReviewsA Cabaret Fortune Teller Haunts Me.... Will Sibick | Scranton, PA | 09/09/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "Once again Audra developes 10 mind blowing tracks that invoke thoughs and images from within the listeners soul and brings them down a path firmilar to all. Loss of innocence and personal evolution. The songs seem to have a harder edge but, keep the same passion as the Premier album. It leaves you wanting more. One of my favorite albums of all time. Going to the Theatre will always have something new to please you anytime you listen. The final song "Don't End This Time" (one of my personal favorites), desire to hear more. Personal favorites on this album: (once again all but here are my highlights) "In A Dark Room", "Fearless Peaches","Cabaret Fortune Teller" (Very Haunting a must hear). Audra's Going to the Theatre is a must have!!!! *****" Going to the theatre necropolisbooks | here and there | 09/02/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "a perfect follow up to their first album. audra has turned its sights on rockin' a bit harder and it shows. this album is a elequent depiction of the loss of innocence and the process of coming to terms with this loss. the songs varies greatly, from "midnight moon swing", which sounds heavily inspired by the likes of christian death, to the quiet, sad, and sweet "don't end this time". this is a very worth effort and proves that audra will only get better." Audra-going to the theatre necropolisbooks | 05/27/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "I am really surprised that this band is not a lot more popular than it is. I really like this c.d.. There are quite a few songs which are reminicent of thier first c.d. This album is more polished than the last and the lyrics are more poetic unlike their first c.d. where everything was just plain and simple without any hidden meanings. This c.d. is really good and if you get it you won't be disappointed. If you have never listened to Audra before and you like gothic/industrial music this is a good addition to your collection."
