"Being a huge Augustus Pablo fan, I think this is his best album. Every song is a dub masterpiece with some very rare cuts included. His cover of the Jacob Miller classic, "Baby I Love You So", is outstanding. "King Tubby Meets the Rockers Uptown" is perhaps his best track ever and maybe the definitive dub reggae song. This album also includes tracks by some of his proteges including Delroy Wilson and Junior Delgado. If you buy only one Augustus Pablo album, buy this one. You'll be hooked for life."

"This the music on this disc is excellent and it serves as a great introduction to the artist. Many tracks contain the original and the dub version, all of which are excellent. There isn't a single bad track on this whole set and many of them are superb. The sound quality of this disc is also good (it can be a bit shady on some reggae/dub/ska recordings). Another nice thing about this disc is how well it seems to flow together (while many compilations lack any cohesion whatsoever). Recommended... Also, if you happened to stumble upon this without really knowing about dub, look into King Tubby (who appears on a few tracks here), Scientist and Mad Professor."

"The title says it all: 16 Classic rock-steady riddims that are truly rasta-licious! The very first track gets the fire burning, with Jacob Miller's undeniably authentic reggae wail. All the tracks are righteous, but highlights include the King Tubby/Pablo dub treatment of Miller's song (track 2), "Stop the Fighting" by Delroy Williams, and T.E. Track's inspirational "Isn't It Time to See." The disc features the production talents of Mr. Pablo, who appears to get the best out of these featured artists, inspiring distinctive collaborative efforts. Leroy Sibbles' number "Love Won't Come Easy" benefits immensely from Pablo's presence. I find this version superior to the orginal Heptones recording. And, the number by The Immortals "You Can't Keep a Good Man Down" is a hypnotic blueprint for the roots reggae sound. This disc will make a nice addition to any enthusiast's collection, and it is great for the novice because of the variety of artists sampled. Highly recommended by a knowledgeable fan."
