"Try any CD by this fabulous Texas band that uses bluegrass music as the vehicle for some of the sharpest satire found anywhere these days, in any medium. The highlight here is "Old Blevins," a breathtakingly good parody of the wise-old-man-at-the-bar type of country song, but there's pointed political satire, cultural commentary, and just plain fun here in abundance too."

"The Austin Lounge Lizards, especially in their earlier albums, have a gift for goofiness that hits my funny bone every time. The fun is often poked at someone or something, or they twist words around in ways we wouldn't expect. I've enjoyed them for years and play this one often."
