I love The Cure---I Mean Autumn

"Autumn sounds very much like the Cure with a girl singer--which I like. They are a 3 peice band and I believe they use a drum machine. My fav. songs on the albumn are #'s 1 and 3."
Beauty in its greatest form...

"Now THIS is really gothic music at its finest . . . Afterbuying this album, I have to say that in a day and age when peoplehave disillusioned themselves into believing that Marilyn Manson is the pinnacle of goth culture when he's anything but, this album was a breath of fresh air with a hint of cherry incense to add flavor. This music is utterly beautiful. It's romantic, expansive, psychedelic, dark but inspired, aggressive at times, and beyond that...it's really damn good. The excellent combination of swirling choral guitars, a brilliantly arranged rhythm section that combines a surrounding bass with drum machines, and the operatic tones of Julie Plante's vocals make this band's music some of the best to come out in the gothic genre since the Cure released "Faith," "Pornography," and "The Head on the Door." Their sound echoes that of the Cure, but with an updated sensibility and a freshness that most other bands can only barely grasp at. My personal favorites are "How it Came to Be This Way," "A Waiting Time," "Even Now," "Oceans," "Seconds," and the title track. If you are a fan of true romantic gothic music (and I mean romantic in a classical sense, not in a love sense, although that happens sometimes here too), then this band is for you. "The Hating Tree" is a lovely album that brings dignity back to gothic music."
