An album of music for Marian festivals, which focuses on the adoration of Mary and her invocation as an intercessor, comprises a selection of music from South German, Habsburg, and Italian residences in the 17th century. With the exception of one work (Biber), this CD exclusively presents world premiere recordings. The captivatingly brilliant and delicate voice of the young and exceptionally talented Spanish soprano Nuria Rial, combined with the warm sound of the renowned Bell'Arte Salzburg early music ensemble conducted by Annegret Siedel, make this recording a wonderful and profound homage to the Mother of God.
