"I've pretty much loved a7x ever since I heard "Bat Country" back when I had no idea who it was singing it. I just had to find out who it was on the radio. Needless to say I was not disappointed with what I found. I instantly fell in love with this unique band that resembled no other. I bought this album clean and I found that it was by far the best edited album I own. They didn't butcher the songs when editing them.
The amazing vocals are worthy of several paragraphs of praise, M Shadows is incredible. While Synyster belts out some unparalleled guitar that makes him worthy of a crown. The lyrics are good and thought provoking. Their songs deal with religion, politics, death, salvation, quirky love, and the common person (making them seem very in touch with the world). I give this album five stars all around, and I give the band two thumbs up. Keep up the good work guys!!! :)"

"Although I am not A7X core customer (guys 18-25) - I found this album to be just amazing. I'm 38 and female. I purchased the clean version of the album after seeing the video for Afterlife late on the satellite one night. I couldn't get the song Afterlife out of my head so I knew I had to give the album a try. I found that the songwriting is amazing and there is more depth then I ever expected from such a young group. The range of music on this album is very broad. I can hear shades of Iron Maiden and Metallica in these guys and I think they've got quite a future in front of them. The lead singer has a good voice and I would encourage the band to entertain doing a few more low key songs in the future to show his voice off more. I would recommend this album to older metalheads who have felt left out of the current metal scene (like me)."
