"David Cook's amount of talent is scary. He must have written this when he was 22 yrs old or so. Axium is seriously satisfying in a Led Zeppelin kind of way, and I've never said that about anything before. Not that you'll be hearing anything like Bonham or Page, it's very HS Band jam session-y, but it offers the same level of gratification from the writing alone. OK, possibly with the help of David Cook's voice as well.



Just so you know I rate somewhere up around Dave Grohl in the Zeppelin Fan category, falling just short of tattoos. The only other thing I can probably say is similarly satisfying would be the Axium album before this, "Blindsided", which is even more jam session-y and even more genius. You have to listen a few times before it *really* clicks. It grows into you rather than on you, just like the classic rock song writers of old.



My guess would be that DC is going to have to re-visit and re-record about 1/3 of the Axium songs he's written way down the road, due to the demand. It's absolutely astounding. [...]"
