One of BB's best in recent years

"I agree w/ those who've said that this is one of BB King's best CD's. His duet partners truly are the 'real deal' when it comes to blues artists. Unfortunately, too many of them have passed on since this was recorded 15 years ago: Lowell Fulson, Albert Collins, John Lee Hooker, Katie Webster, and the recently departed Ruth Brown. Luckily, we have this recording to remind us just how good they all were. I recently found the DVD version in my local library & enjoyed seeing that also."
Brings out the best of all the pairings.

"I came to this album late, so I was hesitant at first. King loves playing with other people, but the results have always been a markedly mixed bag. Fans mostly want hardcore blues and his guests haven't always been the type of artist to drive that theme home.
This album, by contrast, captures King with other bluesmakers and the results are stunning. They bring out the best parts of him and he doesn't have to hold anything back or modify it to fit in someone who doesn't have the history. And what a line-up! Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, Etta James, John Lee Hooker...the list goes on.
If you're tired of the albums with pop or rock stars, this one's for you."
