B5 Don't Talk Just Listen (Circuit City) Genres:Pop, Rap & Hip-Hop When B5 first back-flipped onto the music scene in 2005, young girls everywhere took one look at the handsome Breeding brothers and gasped with joy. Ranging in ages from 11 to 17 the brothers were the perfect package: good... more » looking, talented, charming. Their self-titled debut CD was a top 20 hit on the Billboard 200 and peaked at number seven on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Chart. Their images graced fanzine covers month after month and they created a frenzy everywhere they went. They even caused the shut down of a Minneapolis mall when some 2000 fans rushed the stage during a free concert there. After a seemingly unending round of tours and promotional appearances and a successful alliance with the Disney phenomenon known as High School Musical, the five Breeding brothers of B5, consisting of Dustin 19, Kelly 18, Patrick 16, Carnell 15 and Bryan 13, are back, all grown up and showing off a new mature sound. Their sophomore album is set for release on Diddy?s Bad Boy Records and the title, Don?t Talk, Just Listen, says it all. Co-Executive Producer Kevin Wales had a great idea and after discussing it with the group they all knew the title was right. Dustin explains, we came up with that title because we want people to let go of their old notions about who we are and listen to what we have to say. And what the boys are saying is pretty much what you?d expect of teenage boys on the verge of manhood. It?s still clean music but it has more of an edge, says Kelly. We?re not talking about how we can?t wait to see a girl in school the next day [as in their 2005 single, All I Do], we?re talking about chilling and dancing in the clubs; we?re talking about girls, like all teenagers do.« less

"Don't talk, Just Listen isn't as good as there first album, but it is a pretty solid effort! I really wish B5 all the best, because they are really talented. There last album didn't do very well, but I beleive that will change because they have better promotion this time around, and hydrolics has become way more popular than All I do, and U got me. So here is my review of the album!
1) Hydrolics-This there best single so far! I love it alot, it's like a male version of show stopper! I love the video, the beat and the melody of the entire song. They did really good on this! I am really glad it's doing well. 10/10
2) How You Not Gonna-This is my favorite song on the album! The beat is freakin' amazing! The song is just so catchy!!! This is the track that I definately play over and over, by far the best! I hope it becomes a single! 10/10
3) Right to Left- I like the beat on this song alot, because I like Brian Cox. But the song is just okay. I am not ready for B5 singing about this moving right to left. I thing they need to wait a few years until Brian is 16. But It's just an okay song, it's quite catchy though I must admit. 6/10
4) Erika Kane- I had heard this song a few months before the album came out, and this is also one of my favorite songs! It's a really catchy song, and Dustin and Patrick sound really good on the track. Definately a song you will be repeating. 10/10
5) She Got It Like That-This is the first song slow ballad that the album gets to, and it's just okay. I like how they mixed it great background vocals, and patricks voice. It is really nice, but it isn't really catchy at all. It's just nice to listen to, but you will most likely not remember the name of the song unless you look at the back of the CD case. 5/10
6) Tear Drops-The beat on this song is rediculous! I love it alot! This is another mid-tempo ballad. The vocals on this track are crazy! And, it is really catchy! I like it alot. I think they could go place with this song. The onlyproblem is that I would like to hear some of the other band members sing other than patrick, and Kelly's rap is really good. Definately single material though. 9/10
7) In My Bedroom-The best slow ballad on the album! I heard it was supposed to be the second single, and I really think it's a good choice! This song is just so catchy and Melodic! I love it alot, and this one is another that is definately on repeat. 10/10
8) All Over Again-Dustin sounds amazing on this song!!!!!! Personally, I have never been fond of his voice, but he sounds really good! And he mixes really well with patrick. And the song is really catchy, definately the second best ballad on the album, right after In My Bedroom. 10/10
9) What It Do-I love the beat to this song, It's really simple and it isn't much to it, but it's really good! Also Dustin sounds really good again! He has definately had some vocal lessons or something because he is doing so much better vocally this time around. It's really catchy song though! Probably the most catchy mid-tempo song on the album! I would make it a single if I were diddy. 10/10
10) No One Else- Really Good song, wow! I like it alot when they sing acapella, they just sound really good! And they just use their backround vocals! It's just amazing! This song is just rediculous! Major props to them for this, it definately shows there talent! 10/10
11) I Must Love Drama-I can honestly declare that this is my second favorite song on the album! The beat is awesome, and all them just sound really good, and it's really catchy! I think this definately single material as well! Really great song! 10/10
12) So Incredible-This song reminds me of the ray J song "What I Need" It has the same kind of melody. It's really good song though! Not, my favorite favorite! But definately good to listen to! 8/10
13) Things I would- I like this song alot! It's really nice!!! Once again Dustin impresses me with his voice, it's a really good song! One of my favorites. 10/10
14) Rockstar-This is what I'm talking about! I love this song!!!!!!!!! "I don't need damn guitar" I love that stuff man, they were tryin to hide it, by putting it as the last song..lol, but this song is hot! Man, I love it! Definately one of my favorite songs! 10/10
128/140=91% which is an A-. This guys have defiately steered in a good direction! No sophmore slump at all! It's not as good as their first album, because every single song ont he first album was really good! Every song on this album is listenable, but She got it like that, and Right to left, definately don't fit in very well. You could probably do without them. Still a 5 star alubm though! I can most definately tell that everyones vocals have really improved, with carnell and Brian getting older and there voices are getting deeper they sound really good! Kelly, Dustin, and patrick all sound the same, but Dustin has definately improved on his vocals! I was really impressed. I think everyone should go out and buy this album, you wouldn't be dissapointed!

"I am 28 and was NOT going to buy this album since I considered this to be for young kids, but, after listening to it several times at work and humming the songs throughout the day I knew I HAD to get it. It just came today and I really enjoy it. I got a copy for a friend and my niece. WIth all the crazy music out today this is a refreshing album, that ANYONE can listen to and enjoy. I hope them much success on this one and hopefully future ones. :)"

"As much as i loved B5's debut album. I didn't know how they were going to top it...not that they needed to really. But with their sophomore release "Don't Talk, Just Listen". They have more than done that and silenced any critics out there at the same time. 2 of the members are 18 or older so the song material has a more grown up edge to it. But not so much that it passes over the other guys in the group. B5 is a talented and awesome group to not only watch on video but to hear on cd or at a concert. They are super talented and don't need any of the negative energy or i'm better than you words to get their talent across.
They just get out there everyday and do it. Thats how it should be for further proof check out "No One Else" its acapella and B5 straight rips it like its nothing. I'm normally not into it but i couldnt help but hum along to the song..not that just that one obviously. But you get my drift. The Breeding brothers are back with a venegance and won't go unnoticed at all. With this 2nd stellar release by B5. They are poised to take on all comers and have major success for years to come...no flash in the pan or fluke at all on this one. Pure talent eventually wins over flash in the pan/one hit wonders regardless
Every song on "Don't Talk, Just Listen" is worthy of radio or single play..so do yourselves a favor and get this new cd by B5. They are taking the game and Bad Boy to the very limits and beyond. All favorites on the cd...but here goes for the heck of it
Hydrolic feat Bow Wow (love the video, song, everything)
How You Not Gonna (infectious beat, lyrics)
Right 2 Left (its sick in my book)
No One Else (acapella loved it)
So Incredible (another smash in the wings)
Rockstar (r&b+rock=success love it)
Must Love Drama (another one right here)
Tear Drops
In My Bedroom (slow jam classic in the making)
Lol...the whole cd every song is a favorite. Yes it's really that good and might get another one for someone for a gift perhaps. Support them by getting this legally (it is very worth the money) not preaching..just saying.
Enough of that, its round 2 B5 is the ring knocking em out with "Don't Talk, Just Listen"
*5 stars all around*"

"On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a solid 9. I love it not just as a B5 fan but as a music fan. Their vocals have gotten stronger and their harmonies are excellent on this album. The lyrics are more mature without being too mature for the younger fans and as a mom that's a plus for me. The production is excellent as well, and the beats are CRAZY! Very good job by B5, the writers and producers. They came with heat.
Some of the dance highlights are the first single "Hydrolics" which features Bow Wow; "Right to Left", "What It Do" (which features some intricate harmonies over a hot beat!), and "How You Not Gonna". "No One Else" is an a capella treat that showcases their vocal stylings. Anyone had any doubts that these boys can sing? This track will remove all doubt. "She Got It Like That" is a sweet ballad co-written by Patrick, and Kelly flexed his writing skill on the emotional "Tear Drops". The brothers all had a hand in writing the mid-tempo track "So Incredible". The hidden track "Rockstar" takes the group in a different direction musically. Though it's a different approach for them, they pulled off the rock/hip-hop fusion flawlessly.
My daughter and I each got 1 from Target, and I got one from Circuit City for the bonus track "Boom Boom Boom".
I would recommend the CD to music fans, not just B5 fans."

"Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!!!! I'm sooo surprised by their mature subjects. While not being raunchy , they have effectively gotten their message of love across. If you don't have this album your completely missing out on an incredible musical experience.
