"Harald Vogel should be mentioned in one breath with great interpreters of Baroque organ music such as Ton Koopman and Gustav Leonhardt. This CD features works by J.S. Bach (including the fabulous and not often heard chorale partita 'Sei gegrusset, Jesu gutig')as well as pieces by his predecessors at St. Thomas' in Leipzig, a student of his, and his son, C.P.E. Bach.
The CD booklet is full of useful information about the composers, works, and the organ: the grandiose Schnitger organ in Noordbroek, the Netherlands.
But it's all about the music, brought to life by the master interpreter, Harald Vogel."
