"This is a wonderful CD--if you wanted to own only one Bach CD (but who would want only one?), this one would be hard to beat. Bach's Orchestral Suites are a joy---perhaps not as well-known as the Brandenburg Concertos, but certainly just as enjoyable and uplifting. The sound of this digitally recorded CD (72+ minutes in length) is vibrant and warm --almost life-like--and the playing first-rate. This import comes in an attractive and rather unique case; the liner notes are in French. This recording is highly recommended in the Gramophone Guide.
