"Superlatives are inadequate when it comes to J.S. Bach and the works offered here. But this interesting twist - a Lute-Haprsichord, an instrument long gone, one of an enormous variety of instruments that proliferated throughout Europe up until Bach's period and have all but disappeared - this alone makes the recording worth more than the price. The sound is of a depth and resonance the likes of which very few have ever heard. It is somewhat reminiscent of a haprsichord but with all the warmth of a lute, and it really seems to elevate the music itself to a new level, which you wouldn't think was possible. I've listened to it for the first time today and I'm sorry I waited this long. Don't miss out on this one."
