Good CD for the clubkids, but not for house purists.

"Bad Boy Bill is by far my favorite house D.J of all time.I grew up in the Chicago area and still reside just outside the city.I'f you grew up listening to Bill on B96,owned any of his old Hotmixes(prior to bangin the box series),own Global House Culture 4,or have seen him solo at raves, you know what Bill has done for the scene. To me,Bangin the Box 4 does'nt really depict the Chicago underground house scene at all.Bill expieriments with some "poppy"progressive cuts and breakbeats that are lacking talent.A great Richie Hawtin track is included but an unneccesary "I am house music"vox overlaps,Richie Hawtin is'nt house music.Bill does spin some good global house and disco soul fusion type house, but there is to much annoying sounds in between.Bangin the Box 3 is a little more your typical Bill format,I give it 5 stars.Try BtB3 if your a level entry Bill listener.Overall Bangin the Box 4 is a very pumpin',high quality, extremerly well produced product, definately a floor rocker. There is no better than Bill when it comes to changing with the times, setting trends, and drawing young listeners all over the world to his signature sound.Bill changed his format up by eliminating the long intro, changed his name stamp, and unleashes some unbelievable scratches, beat juggling, and fading in the new CD.The CD is definately worth buying, but I'm having problems adjusting to the overall new feeling of the new CD as well as House Connection 2.I've listened to Bad Boy Bill since 1988 and have admired and excepted his changes, but the teaming up with Richard Vission and this whole pop star rave icon image is too much, the feeling just is'nt the same anymore.I'f you really want to see the true, old school,Bad Boy Bill(whats left),check him out at a rave, alone.Bill posseses unhumanlike tecnical skills that will blow you away, even more when your rolling.True Chi-town ravers, where ya at! I'm sure you feel me."

"I love Hard House. This is the best Hard House album I have ever heard my FAR! Even if you don't like hard house, this is just too damn good not to like. Its not all just the "BANG-BANG-BANG!" simple hard beats that can make some hard house monotanous. Lots of complex beats, breaks beats, disco house, and straight funk. In fact, I'd reccomend this to someone who HATES hard house! Buy it and see."
Another must have!

"The famous Chicago's own Bad Boy Bill yet again comes up with distilling comforts of sound and rhythm. The perfect mixes just make your body sweat and your limbs move in unison to the beats. If you like to rave you should definitely buy this, 'cause ravin' to this piece of work isn't just dancing...its your body accompanying a physical motion to the music, and Bad Boy Bill is only settin' the scene with vibes of pure talent with the content of this title. Any party scene is perfect for this album. As its perfect to spin anywhere and any time, its gotta be one of my fav CD's in my whole collection. So just rock it up and roll it down!"

"HOW CAN YOU GO WRONG WITH BAD BOY BILL? HE JUST CAN'T PUT OUT A BAD ALBUM. FROM HIS IN-THE-FACE FOUR ON THE FLOOR TEMPO TO HIS MASTERY OF SCRATCHING, IT JUST EXPLODES IN YOUR EARS. THE MUSIC ON THIS ALBUM GRABS HOLD OF YOU AND TRIES TO SHAKE YOUR ASS OFF FOR ABOUT 50 MINUTES OF NON STOP DOPE BEATS. THE TOTAL KING OF FUNK, AND TODAY'S DISCO BEAT MACHINE, BAD BOY CRANKS OUT ANOTHER WINNER"
