"Maybe the best work of Badi Assad, Rhythms is music for those who like well-made experiences. Along with her melodious voice (in songs such "a primeira vista"), you can hear the simple and beautiful chorinho and great percussion. An excellent choice when you know Brazilian music is not only bossa nova. Uakti fans should love it."

"This girl can really play!! She's got loads of technique, and lots of soul. She effectively blurs the lines between contemporary classical composition and brazilian pop. Although she is primarily a guitarist, the vocal work on this album is also very nice. Get the disk!!"
This is the most consistent album from Badi to-date

"The simple solo/duet arrangements give an open, honest, and intimate feel to all of the songs within the album. This has to be the best album from Badi to-date. The lack of ANY studio-type effects allows the beauty of the performance, instruments, and the material to remind the listener that true art can thrive in the modern world."

"Badi Assad is a true musical phenom from Brazil. Her technical ability on the guitar is astounding, yet she remains very lyrical. Her vocals are quite lovely as well. She often employs mouth pops, guitar slaps, and even an electric fan for percussion. Her work is always interesting and this is no exception. Some of my favorites are "Pulo do Gato", "Ica", "Feixe", and "Quase Um Funk P'ra Badi/Virus". The sound engineering is crystal clear, every nuance captured. This is a superb performance and recording."
