"All tracks on this disc are played by the Ballroom Dance Orchestra. Except for "Mack the Knife" and "It's De-Lovely," the music is bright and well performed. Several of the tempos are faster than current competition standards for foxtrot. In two cases, it is fast enough to use quickstep instead.
The disc is marketed on an Australian label, and I wonder who is to blame for the poor sound engineering. Half of the tracks have a "clipped ending" -- the last note or chord is either missing or cut abruptly short. I suppose one could manually fade the end of some of these, but isn't that the recording engineer's job? This compromises the value of an otherwise useful disc.
