Short but sweet

"Very nice CD, although short at a little less than half an hour. If you can pick this one up cheaply, then it is well worth the money. The Everest label recorded in early audiophile quality, using magnetic film stock tape to make the masters.
The first four numbers are Brazilian-influenced Byrd compositions, and the last four selections are a re-creation of Ralph Burns' four-part "Summer Sequence".
It is delightful music, but you will have to listen yourself to get the full flavor of it.
A couple of the Byrd tracks can also be found on the Everest/Empire Woody Hermann CD, which is also worth a listen."
