Hodgkinson | 01/19/2002 (4 out of 5 stars) "Some people think BdG hit the exact right mix of beat, politics, and new age with the Magical Sounds album (80-10-10 if you must know). For those who do, this single is worthwhile to extend the experience. Perhaps best as background listening, though, especially "Radio Edit" with its total omission of the ecstatic "baby Jesus" build at the beginning (a.k.a. the "you may be out driving in your Volvo" part). Maybe Toby had to withdraw the sample? To me the outstanding track is the highly-divergent triplet rhythm and the ominous "how you feeling" stutter of Wayward Soul's Afro-European Remix - who would've thought you could wring ominous out of such a carefree original?"
