"this is the best of BARBARA, one of the most sensitive and oustanding artist of France, pianist, author, composer she scarely has any equivalent in the world : no one sang love, death, and "le mal de vivre" as she did. Her stage presence, i saw her in NANTES and PARIS, was unique and i never saw any equivalent in the english speaking world, sorry to say that, i heard outstanding "technicians" on stage but no one like her. She is, according to me, much more interesting and subtle than edith Piaf for instance."
A treasure too little known in the English-speaking world

"Silky melancholy narratives are Brabara's gift to the world. Why have so few anglophones appreciated what she offers? When you are tired of treating music like audial wallpaper, sit down in a big comfortable chair and actually LISTEN to Barbara's words. You don't understand French, you say? There's no better reason to sign up at Berlitz than Barbara."
