"My brother used to have a rehearsal space in a warehouse where obscure imported CDs and records were kept, so he would find out about all these weird underground and obscure bands. This is the "find" of the lot, a great mix of electronic pop, techno, etc. with a strong undercurrent of the old - school German progressive stuff (i. e. Cluster, Neu, Kraftwerk, etc.) that has long been among my very favorite genres of music. Her main instrument seems to be organ supplemented by electronic percussion, and she has a fine ear for samples and a great pop voice. Lyrics are almost all auf Deutsche, but that hardly matters. Check out the buzzing fly solo in Tag und Nacht, the instrumentals such as the Title Track and Mr. Dr., and the charming pop of Der Augenblick for a tast of something exotic, enchanting, and peerless. Ms. Morgenstern has a small but rabid following in this country. You oughtta become one of us! I like all I've heard by her, but this one is my favorite. Can't wait for the new one coming in May!!!"
