"I've been a HARD-CORE fan of Barbra since the late 70's. I own her entire collection, first on vinyl, now on CD! Never had the privelege of seeing her live, yet! I've ALWAYS enjoyed her voice! DEFINATELY THE VOICE OF THE 20th CENTURY!"

"Barbra Streisand released two albums in 1971, "Barbra Joan Streisand" and this jewel "Stoney End". With "Stoney End" Barbra wanted to move into a new direction with her music. She wanted to conquer the pop industry so she recorded a series of songs that would appeal to this particular audience. The result was this album that went all the way into Billboard's Top 10, her first in over 5 years. The album would spawn 2 hit singles, the title track and "Time and Love". Other highlights are "I Don't Know Where I Stand", Gordon Lightfoot's "If You Could Read My Mind", and "I'll Be Home". "Stoney End" proved to be very successful for Streisand, garnering her another platinum album selling over 1.5 million copies."

"This album has great songs. I'm very satified with all the music on this album. Keep up the good work on making memorable albums available on Amazon.com"
