Great band, but this "Best of" needs a little help

"The BATS played good old school hardcore punk with a little metal, but a "Best of" for Battalion of Saints is kind of ridiculous. I think a new edition of "Death-R-Us" coupled with a 2nd album of the live tracks presented here would have been a much better choice. That being said, this is not a bad album. It is the only BATS that is readily available at most larger independent stores (like Amoeba) and it provides a pretty good selection of their material. The only real drawback is that the sound quality of some of these tracks is really bad. Some of the studio cuts just sound flat and definitley need remastering. On some of the live tracks the bass is almost non-existent and there are also a couple of gaps where there is either just crowd noise or the guys messing around. My Recommendation: go to the Taang Records website and buy Death-R-Us. If you don't feel comfortable buying directly from an independent record company, then this is the CD for you."
