Too Smooth for my taste

"I'm not going to diss this album, but the direction beanfield has evolved in just doesn't interest me. Almost every track has vocals, very smooth soulful light R&B vocals. The vocals tend to be the main focus, rather than the interesting sounds or creative programming that made beanfield's previous albums catch my interest. The songwriting and arrangements are consistently non-offensive. and maybe a bit bland to my ears.Great brunch music. Not very exciting though."
More beanfield

Definitely NOT worth the wait!

"My original review: "Not as intense as HUMAN PATTERNS, which was an incredible, breakthrough type of new sound, but worth the five-year wait!" In retrospect, I was just being kind because I loved HUMAN PATTERNS so much. I've hardly listened to this CD since I first got it. HUMAN PATTERNS was SO incredible, SO groundbreaking, SO amazing, the type of CD you would turn off all the lights and blast it at top volume and just sit there being amazed!!! This is a "nice" CD. Some of the vocals are very "nice". But nowhere near HUMAN PATTERNS which is one of the BEST CDs I've bought in the last 10 years."
