Slick as Beat Happening Could Be...thank god...

"This album, though lo-fi purists(?) might disagree, is remarkable...Whilst it IS the most polished of the band's releases, it still has a raw, aggressive cuteness that few cuddle- core bands can ever hope to equal...Godsend is five or six long minutes of the same few notes o'er and over, but lovely...Hey Day is Calvin sounding almost serious, yet amazing still...buy this you fool! Can't you see how cheap it is? Admit it, you were trying to decide between this and the new Belle and Sebastian...do the right thing..."
