"If you, a Beatles fan, missed the double-CD "Live At The BBC," then you missed an interesting look at the truly unique live Beatles performances on BBC radio (1962-65). I wouldn't have necessarily picked these 4 tracks for this single, though they are a good example of the type of music is highlighted on the set. The real fun part of BBC sessions is the studio chat inbetween songs and there are a few selections on the double CD set that have been unfortunately left out of this single.There is an infamous Beatles bootleg available that is an eleven (I think) CD set, which is the most complete selection of BBC sessions available. However, since the penny-pinching BBC has taped over or destroyed many of the original tapes, much of the material comes from people who recorded the shows of off the radio back in the 60s. So the quality of many of the performances aren't that good to say the least.The official "Live At The BBC" double-CD only uses the real BBC tapes that sound pretty good for what they are. And there's no audience noise on most of the tracks. This CD-single is an OK example of what the BBC sessions were like. If the chatter were left in, it'd capture the fun more, but if you can't get the 2-CD set, don't pass this up!"
