Synopsis

Album Description
Australian roots rock trio the Beautiful Girls, give fans of Jack Johnson and Ben Harper another reason to be cheerful. The group, fronted by singer/guitarist Mat McHugh, has a charming feel set in motion by the loose, breezy vibe. The Beautiful Girls reveal emotional and artistic depths that seem rare for such a young band. At times the group draws on Sublime's stumbling surf bum vibe which gives desperate lyrics an optimistic reggae thump.

CD Reviews

These guys rock, and this Cd rocks.

"The Beautiful Girls are one of my favorite bands, if not #1. This Cd certainly departs from their acousitc roots, but I enjoyed the change. I also liked how they introduced some horns in this album, like in the first song, "We're already gone." This is the preeminent cd to chill with on the way to the beach. Check out 311, Slightly Stoopid, G-Love and Special Sauce, and OAR for some similar chillish."
