CD Reviews

A new, young, potential classical pop singer
Bryan79 | Japan | 04/02/2004
(4 out of 5 stars)

"It is my personal taste and opinion. What can you expect from this album? It is not Charlotte Church, not Sarah Brightman, not Celine Dion, but truly 100% Becky Taylor. I don't like to make comparison because every one is unique. All I can say is that Becky Taylor has a nice and unique voice. So unique that I like it so much, just like Josh Groban. For the first time I listen to it, I am hooked to it. I understand some people said her voice changed (matured) compared to the previous one. But you must understand she is now in the teenage age towards adult. The songs for this album is neither totally soprano nor pop. It is somewhere in between, I would say mixed. Again, I don't like to compare her to the other people who sung the same song. But overall, she really put in effort and trying to produce an album to appeal to many people. The 4 stars is really for that."You raise me up" is very inspiring and it is very nice (I know you would say Josh Groban and Secret Garden sung it well). Well, Becky also did a great job on that song! All of my friends who listen to it likes it. It is a female version that is so special that I think everyone should listen to it ONCE!!! Other songs are nice too. Recommended: It is you (I have loved), the last words you said, (everything I do) i do it for you, from a distance, time. I think we should continue to support such a good singer. Thanks the record company and her parents to bring such a wonderful singer to this world. Finally, I saw some bright light to the new era of classical songs that are not too classical but not too pop. Thumbs up to Becky!"
GREAT VOICE

"What a beautifull voice, and I thought she was well in her 20 somethings, but she is still 15 years old!!!!! Great song collection, but I think she is talented enough to sing her own songs. Her outstanding interpretation of Now we are free alone makes this a worth while album, but other outstanding songs are, Into white, Blue bird and Time, It is you and the Last word you said. The power of her outstanding voice can clearly be heard on Blue bird. She is most welcome in my music collection."
Great album

"Becky's voice is so great that I can't believe she is a 15 year-old girl. I listen,I image, and I fall into the scenes of movies.
The music makes me feel like a gypsy, go across mountains then feel peaceful and stronger. A great music anyway."
