CD ReviewsNot her best work Michael Patrick Boyd | Waukesha, WI | 01/26/2009 (3 out of 5 stars) "Live Your Life Be Free is fifty-one minutes and eleven seconds long and was released on October 14, 1991. Live Your Life Be Free is Belinda Carlisle first failure. The cassette did not chart and only one song of the five singles charted. Songs like I Plead Insanity and Little Black Book are not that great. Then again I did like Half the World and Love Revolution. It is hit or miss if you want to buy Live Your Life Be Free. Live Your Life Be Free by Belinda Carlisle gets a C. Side A Live Your Life Be Free Did not chart Do You Feel Like I Feel? #73 U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Singles Half the World Did not chart You Came Out of Nowhere You're Nothing Without Me Side B I Plead Insanity Emotional Highway Little Black Book Did not chart Love Revolution World of Love The Loneliness Game" BELINDA'S BEST! Jeffrey J. Pospisil | New York, U.S.A. | 05/31/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "Any fan of belinda or the go-go's should do themselves a favor and give this one a listen. packed with incredible songs and a well balanced production, from start to finish this one is HOT! check out "I plead insanity", a dance groove that would make Blondie proud, as well as the catchy "little black book", which would go well with any bangles selection. Belinda has her own style, of course, and it shines throughout. alot of 60's rock influences abound, as shown by "love revolution" and the breathtaking title track, all mixed in with some gorgeous balladry. possibly her best, although released after her success on the u.s. charts had decreased. also check out her 1993 release, "REAL", much differently produced although equally as satisfying. GO BELINDA!!!!!" Live Your Life..Be Free Kenneth J. Johnson | 07/31/2009 (4 out of 5 stars) "This 1991 effort was largely ignored in the U.S for inexplicable reasons. Belinda announced she was pregnant and cancelled tours for this album. She did however make appearances on American TV talk shows such as Letterman and Arsenio Hall. The record is decidely more dance oriented than past albums. Her vocals are rich and tightly wrapped in an impressive wall of music. The anthemic "Live Your Life Be Free" is often used to open current concerts. What a great message!! "Do You Feel Like I Feel?" was another single from this CD. The most underrated single from this CD is the ballad "Half The World". Belinda's vioce is well suited for this dreamy song. This is a great record that should also be picked up by dance clubs. As recently as December 2008 I heard a remixed "Live Your Life Be Free" in a Chicago dance club."
