"This is a very conservative reading of Berlioz' Masterpiece, but it justifies satnding above all criticism in every way. The Wiener Singakademie and the Vienna Symphony Radio Orchestra sing and play their hearts and souls out, and the Santis by tenor Guiseppe Sabbatini is especially stunning and haunting; its serene beauty, paired with well some yet well channeled pathos, leaves you simply breathless.
Highly recommended, better than anything else on the market these days, and worth every dime more to pay compared other versions."
