A rousing rendition of Bach's Brandenburgs

"This is a Laserlight Digital recording. That means a recording out of copyright has been restored to its original condition. This also means the quality ranks with or outranks comparable recordings by rival groups.This 2-CD box set contains all six Brandenburgs and a pair of overtures (orchestral suites). Period instruments are used throughout. The first disc contains 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6. They are faster than I am used to with more expensive versions. They are masterfully conducted and coordinated. Their sound is great! You can really hear the string and wind instruments and the harpsichord. The second disc contains two orchestral suites (C-major and B-minor) and the 5th Brandenburg. It has the same quality of ensemble and sound as the first.The 2-CD Box Set is worth double the asking price."
