CD Reviews

THE WAY BETHANY SHOULD BE!!!
Doctor Jay | Jackson, MS USA | 04/02/2008

"I have always thought Bethany Dillon was given a rare gift -- the combination of a distinctive, powerful voice and well above average songwriting and acoustic guitar playing abilities. I have also always thought she was OVER-produced. Now, we have an opportunity to hear her at her best. The instrumentation is spare, but like a good spice, enhances the flavor of each vocal offering on this CD and makes this set an absolute auditory treat. The production is clean and clear and dynamically honest. I can only hope this project represents a future direction for this talented, gifted, and gracious artist. By the way, if they had included "For My Love" and "You Are On Our Side" (plus one more Beatles tune), I would have found a way to give this 7+ stars!"
Bethany Dillon's Greatest Hits

"I haven't been a huge fan of Bethany Dillon's but this album really impressed me. Many albums these days tend to be over produced and add so many musicians that it ends up creating a lot of noise. Though I enjoy the original versions of some of these songs the acoustic live in studio feel of this album really appeals to me and is a welcome change from what we are fed today. Some people who really like the production of her other albums may not like this but for those who are looking for something that feels more real, personal, and raw this is the album to get."
