Buy it! She was a queen!

"Beverly! The sweetest voice from the fifties shows how to sing jazz without vibratos or scats. Died so young, she left a legacy of few recordings, like other forgotten singers such as Lucy Ann Polk, Helen Carr and Ida James.
Look for her out of print releases on Spanish label Fresh Sound.
If you want to know similar voices, listen to the superb Canadian Diane Nalini, the gorgeous Australian Janet Seidel (...) or the best of them: Stacey Kent!"
A Wondeful Orginal! Why doesn't the USA publish her?

"Beverly Kenney doesn't sound like anyone else, doesn't phrase like anyone else, doesn't pronounce like anyone else. She is unique. Her voice is bright, open, with a touch of huskiness that is incredibly endearing. I have now ordered all of the albums I could find --- and sadly, tragically, they are all published now only in Japan. This country should not lose one of its own orginals! And we should publish some of her lost tracks...tracks not included on these CD's. There are very few albums, and each album has very few tracks. But everyone one of them is worth the price and she continues to remain my favorite!"
