An incredibly talented band--musically and lyrically

"Orlando is known as a hotbed for nationally talented bands such as Seven Mary Three and Matchbox 20. Big 10-4 is the next great band to come out of the area.
Big 10-4 perfected its energetic rock sound at open mic nights and at local venues like The Social and Devaney's while playing to the young UCF crowd, where the band has a cult following of sorts.
The songs on the album, Testing the Atmosphere, reprise their successful locally distributed EP, Bumpersticker Philosophies. By adding a mixture of new guitar and piano driven rock music with roots from Third Eye Blind and Matchbox 20, Big 10-4 created a sound and aura of its own.
Working with producer Matt Wallace, who is known by his hit albums with Train and Maroon 5, the band successfully and impressively redefines what modern rock music should be. "No offense to other bands, but I wrote this song about the music industry," remarked lead singer Dan Verduin at the Florida Music Festival 2006, referring to the first song on the album, "Walking Disaster", a tale of how Big 10-4 strived for its own unique sound while refusing to compromise their integrity with demanding record labels.
What emerged is "Testing the Atmosphere," the first great album from the next great Orlando band."
Cutting Edge

"If you've never been one to be on the cutting edge as far as music goes, Big 10-4 could be the difference. I purchased the album on a whim and a suggestion from a dedicated fan, wondering if it would live up to what I had been told. And live up it did. Beyond my expectations. Buy the album now and you'll be one-up on the music industry. Industry reviews have compared Dan Verduin's lyrics and the band's music to the stylings of Tom Petty, Matchbox 20, Third Eye Blind, etc."
