"This collection gives you some perspective on how Big Country have evolved. On it you find early renditions of tunes from Big Country's first album, "The Crossing." These include "Inwards", "Harvest Home", "Porroh Man", "1000 Stars" and two versions of "Close Action." Also included are the lesser-known "Heart and Soul" and "Angle Park" (which doesn't appear on any of the studio albums, unfortunately). The tempo of all the songs is basically the same, and you can definitely pick up on how B.C. were experimenting with their sound early on (especially if you compare "Angle Park" or "Close Action" with later versions of same). A must-have for the true Big Country fan..."
If you love "Lost Patrol", get this!

"For me one of the most beautiful tunes on "The Crossing" was "Lost Patrol." Its searing guitar riff exlpodes with vitality in the second version found on Radio One sessions. The tracks are mostly from "The Crossing" and the "Wonderland" EP. So, if you liked those albums you will like this. In my opinion, its a gem!"
