CD ReviewsBest cd you will ever hear. Very true to heart and honest! smile90047@aol.com | america | 03/31/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "Bill champlin is the most underrated musical genius of our time. His sensitive nature and bold vocals along with his honesty to do things the right way will keep his music alive forever! Too many people give into the "suits" way of doing things only for money. Mr. champlin sticks to his guns and refuses to give into this embellishment for personal achievement and money. From where I sit I see a man with guts, talent, integrity, and commitment to what he believes in along with the dedication and love he has for music , making it " through it all" and taking it to a better place! Rock on bill!" A REAL Treasure! You'll love this CD! 01/08/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "Although I love all of Bill's CD's, this is my all time favorite. I think it's partially due to the depth of some of the songs, including "Sound Of The Rain", "Light Up The Candles", and "Proud Of Our Blindness", which are all favorites. However, every song on this CD is a favorite, from the first song to the last. "Turn Your Love Around" is one of Bill's grammy winners and it's also one heck of a great song. "Just To Be Loved" is a song that I absolutely love. It's funky, sensitive, and it just begs you to sing along. This CD features superb musicianship, solid writing, amazing arrangements, and the incredible talents of Tom Saviano, Greg Mathieson, Bruce Gaitsch, and Tamara Champlin... among others. But it! You won't be disappointed." This is some of Bill Champlin's best solo work!! smile90047@aol.com | 07/20/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "I have long been a fan of Bill Champlin and I bought this album not knowing what it would be like and now it is one of my all time favorites! All ten songs have exceptional production values. His version of "Turn Your Love Around," originally recorded by George Benson which Champin co-wrote, has a great jazzy feel, "Sound of the Rain" is an excellent statement with regard to televangelists and what we can honestly rely on everytime, and of course the theme song from the TV Series "In the Heat of the Night" in it's full form~~so much better than the one minute version you hear on television. If you have liked Bill's stuff with Chicago, then you should definitely listen to this album. You will not be disappointed!!! There is not a bad song on this album!!"
