"I am very surprised to find this recording available for I have looked in the past, and never could I find. I have owned this Long Playing Record since it was first released. This is a wonderful recording. One of those ecm gems. You know what I mean i.e. Eberhard Weber 'Colours, (Silent Feet) Ralph Towner (Solstice), classics; and why? The people performing on these recordings are inspired. Such is the case in this recording for it starts out with perfect driving energy by the great Jack Dejohnette followed by brilliant Jan Garbarek on "Tenor Saxophone," always enjoyed his strong tenor, (such as on Solstice) this has that quality, and there is a space in the first song, 'Melting' I think it's called, in which the song drops back, quiets down and then; Conner's quietly enters with a solo, sparse and egoless, an opening statement but the solo builds and oh does it build to absolute acoustic melodic guitar perfection. Nothing left unsaid and stated concisely and intelligently. If you feel strongly about Bill Conner's first acoustic solo recording on ecm, you'll definately want this. Because I have been away from my albums for so long I might be mistaken on this, but I believe it is Eberhard Weber on bass for this session."
