"I have to say his music's so touching. He played all the songs in a sensative smooth and romantic way which just perfectly fit my taste. At the back of the cover there's a photo shows when he's playing. No wonder he could play such beautiful songs because he's so into the music himself. Every note he made like rain drops fall in my fancy. Every song are so good that you want to litsen to them repeatingly. Among them Danny Boy is my best choice. I love the melody and love his way to play it. Get this cd even just for Danny Boy. You won't be disappointed if you like some lyrical tender tunes. What a jazz round midnight! it really is..."
This compilation features some of the best music I've heard.

"While I know this is a compilation CD, I feel that this set is an essential part of any jazz collection. While not particularly adventurous or original, all of the songs are beautifully arranged, and of course, Bill Evans' playing is soothing, melancholy, and even a bit wistful. I really enjoyed his take on "Valse," as well as "If You Could See Me Now" and "Time Remembered." This is an ideal LP to listen to "'round midnight." Buy it and enjoy it."
