"I am so happy to see Bill's work in the mainstream. I have been a fan of his for several years. Coastin' showcases Bill's incredible mastery of the acoustic guitar. I never get tired of listening to his CD's."

"DTS 5.1 never sounded better in this surprisingly good CD from a musician I was not familar with, but in forming a collection of surround music I happened on this wonderful CD. The placement of the players is done correctly, not having instruments flying around the room as some of the mixes from 70's DTS releases. This collection of tunes puts you right in the middle of two very talented musicians with crisp sound and enjoyable melodies, a must have for the DTS 5.1 listener!"

"Bill Mize has done fantastic work for over a decade now, but is rarely mentioned with some of the fingerstyle greats (e.g. Doyle Dykes, Laurence Juber, Alex de Grassi). This is a shame, because few produce Mize's fantastic tone, have his strong sense of melody, and are as capable of creating both great originals and unique arrangements of others' work. This CD features grooves, 50s ballads, a blues jam, and fantastic covers of "Take me to the River" and "Come Together." Martha Jacobs contributes cello to much of the CD, giving a beautifully ominous touch to "Miasma" and a haunting take on the melody to "The Water is Wide." "Icawojaya" is an interesting blues jam between acoustic fingerstyle and cello that is certainly unique. Maybe one day Mize will get the recognition he deserves."
