Such an interesting fellow, and so different...

"Bill sounds like Bill, and no one else does. He takes a little getting used to, but his incredible taste, phrasing, songwriting, and sure sense of just the right accompaniment will win you over. This is only my second CD of his, but I love it, just as I love "You'll Never Get to Heaven." This album's strongest songs are just a touch behind the three or four strongest on the "Heaven" CD...but "Night Train" has no weak ones, whereas "Heaven" does have a couple that don't work as well as they should. So you really have to buy both CD's, in order to have enough variety in your Bill Morrissey collection to satisfy. I discovered Bill in 2001, about ten years after he began recording. The same year, I discovered Christine Lavin, about 20 years after she got her start. Those were two of the best things that happened to me the whole darn year. They approach songwriting and performing differently, but to me they are "twins of genius." Once you get used to Bill, it is hard to stop listening...the same as with Christine. Take a risk and give these folks a try. You won't be sorry."
Praise for Bill.

"Hey I'm a published author of fiction, and all I wanna say is that Bill Morrissey is the finest songwriter I've heard in a long, long time. From one New England boy to another: great job!"
