"Dying To Be Heard is a great record - period. Every song is a winner - absolutely no weak cuts. When I first put the cd on, I was amazed at the consistency - one great song after another. Great melodies, innovative chord progressions, and some of the best lyrics this side of Bob Dylan. To my ears, Bill Mumy shows himself to be in the same league as the masters of the genre - Neil Young, Lennon and McCartney, , Springsteen, Petty, etc. yet at the same time, showcasing a style that is completely his own. This is an important cd, and belongs in the collection of anyone that appreciates great rock and roll. I can't wait for the next one."

"Painful experience has taught me to approach albums by actor/musicians with caution. I was delighted to find that it was unecessary in this case. There's quite a variation of mood and tempo from one track to the next, from the upbeat "My Sweet Selena" (I suggest reading the back cover for more on the origin of the title. It's clever and very... well... sweet) to the whistful longing of "So I Sit By the Sea." "Yes You In Blue" goes on a bit of a tear with a slight flavor of the 60's and "The Ballad Of William Robinson" is wonderfully tragic. The songs themselves are well contructed and the tunes are the sort you'll find yourself humming without even thinking about it. I highly recommend this album!"

"Having played this CD several times, I find it is now one of my favorites. The fast paced 'Nero's Fiddle' and 'My Sweet Selena' to the haunting 'Ambiguous Sky' and 'So I Sit By The Sea' are excellent examples of Bill's musical ability. 'In The Grand Scheme Of Things' and the title track 'Dying To Be Heard' are also great. 'Waiting' is memorable and 'The Ballad Of William Robinson' was a surprise. 'Denver Thing' is catchy and don't forget the 'Hidden Track'. In all a brilliant CD. Highly recommended."
