Preston's Earliest and BEST work!

"Let's get right to the point. This is Billy Preston's best album. Why? For the simple reason that his keyboard techniques are unsurpassed! While there are little to no lyrics, nor are any of his more popular songs like "Nothing from Nothing" "Will it Go Round" or "Outtaspace" from later in his career on this CD, these early recordings already attest to his musical talents and sure magic on the Hammond B3 (which is one of the greatest instruments assembled since Bach laid hands on the Cathedral Organ). Tracks 1 through 4 certainly have that "urban" feel to it, as Preston rips out chord after chord on the Hammond. The middle part of the CD are well known songs, played only the way Preston can with neat improvisation, while the last three tracks, especially track 15, are deep, hard core old school gospel. Personally, if you can find anything better than 15 - "Soul Meeting" it had to have been played by Jesus Himself. For ANY fan of Billy Preston, this album is not recommended, it's required. I can't give enough praise for this album, it's sure to be played over and over on your stereo."
