"I've been a fan of Billy Walker for several years, unfortunately there have been few of his hits reissued onto cd, and most of the cd's you find are re-recordings. This box set showcases a young Billy Walker going back to the beginning of his recording career with Capitol Records spanning from 1949 to 1965. In my honest opinion the 5 and 6th cd in the set are the best ones and are where his career finally took off after struggling in the 50's, the last 2 cd's are where the hits begin. I hope bear family decides to issue another boxset in the future and pick up where this one left off, covering the rest of the 60's and 70's. It sure would be great to have the later hits like Word Games & Million And One on cd from the original recordings along with a booklet only as Bear Family can do."
