One of the classic groups of the late 1940's/early 1950's, the Dominoes were led by Juillard-trained vocal coach Billy Ward, & are the bridge between the earlier Gospel & Ink Spots type of group & the coming world of Doo-Wop, R&B, & Rock 'n' Roll. Their best known hit 'Sixty Minute Man' was not only a vocal tour de force, but the first of the double entendre records which characterized early Rock 'n' Roll.
