Album DescriptionBirth Control were formed in Cologne, Germany in 1968 as a student rock band. They chose their name as a stab at Pope Paul's anti-birth control policy. They moved to Berlin for a while and released their debut self titled album in 1970. The album sleeve was a special mock birth control pill case type cover, which has become quite sought after by collectors. Drummer/Vocalist Bernd Noske and guitarist Bruno Frenzel were the two constant figures in the band during the early seventies, and they released some really incredible music during that period, notably.1973's "Rebirth" and" Plastic People" in 1975. Frenzel sadly passed away a number of years back. Never stereotyped or boring, Birth Control were well known for their ability to experiment with different styles, but never losing sight of their rock identity, and always monstrating excellent musicianship. They are still around today, one of the" Krautrock" scenes' longest surviving and best ands.Musicians: Bernd Naske - Drums; Peter Engelhardt - Guitar, 5ascha Kuhn - Keyboards; Hannes Vesper - Bass.BIRTH.2006
