"If you want to take a trip back to the roaring twenties and imagine yourself a guest at one of Jay Gatsby's fetes at his West Egg mansion, just purchase a copy of this or any other Bix Bierderbecke CD. He came out of the midwest and took New York society (and the country) by storm. And with good reason - he was probably the foremost white interpreter of Jazz of his era. If you are a lover of early Jazz, give this or the other two recordings available at Amazon a chance. You might be struck by the similarity, as I was, between these recordings and King Oliver's, who was the real innovator of the time. Seek his recordings out, as well, if you get the chance. May Bix live forever in the annals of jazz!!(...)"
