"I remember hearing "Everybody" on the radio and I loved it. Then a little while later, I saw it performed on Soul Train. Even at the ripe old age of 9, I knew that the French chick who couldn't speak a lick of English, lip-synching the lyrics, wasn't the one who recorded the vocals. It was so funny because my mother was like, "Now they need to be ashamed of themselves! Anyone with a brain in their heads, knows that that's Martha Wash's voice!" And sure enough, Ms. Wash filed a lawsuit against the record company. But all silliness aside, the music was damn good!"

"Back in the hayday of vinyl and all it's glory came some soulful, yet very danceable club music. Born into mainstream became the writers and more importantly the singer attributed to Black Box. Perhaps one of the most unknown talents in this world; Martha Wash carries and dominates this album with her soulful and beautiful voice. Though not into "top 10" pop music, some of the singles on this album did just that...made it into the charts. Classics for me are "I Don't Know Anybody Else" with it's danceable groove...I often close my eyes and can see myself on the dance floor. I've just started my CD collection and this is one of the first one's I sought after. I just wish the writers and Martha would hook up again."
