A great release from one of Boston's newest hardcore bands.

"I saw these guys at a hardcore festival in my area around Halloween and was fairly impressed with the set. Don't let their name fool you. Black My Heart may sound like the name of one of the many metalcore bands out there, being passed off as hardcore, but these guys are true to the game. While their lyrical content doesn't exactly differ from many hardcore bands, they are good at expressing what hardcore and straightedge stand for. The whole cd is mosh-able; tough two-step parts, a few stomping parts, beatdown-style breakdowns and they even throw in a few bits of silence before the breakdown to build intensity, and to get some pacing or crowd-moshing in. The vocalist is passionate about our hardcore scene and you can hear it in his voice. I would definitley pick this up if you like Death Before Dishonor, Terror, Donnybrook, Until The End, and The Warriors. it's heavy, tough and in-the-moment-of-action hardcore.
key tracks: We Werern't Brought Up Right, My Way, Antonio Ricci, Before the Devil."
