Product DescriptionGabriel Garcia formed a hard rock band called Radio in 2003 with his older Brother Raul but Radio became Black Tide in 2007 after Garcia was signed to Interscope Records. Raul Garcia would exit the band, preferring not to play in a band signed to a major label. The younger Garcia continued to front the band, playing lead guitar and writing the material.
Now 21 years old, Garcia has traveled internationally. He has written two critically acclaimed albums, both of which coincidentally reached number 73 on the Billboard Top Hundred albums of the year, and a song in the top 20 on hard rock charts for ten weeks in a row.
All this has earned Garcia droves of die-hard fans and equally as many cynics creating a bi-polar audience for Black Tide. Garcia is as ambivalent about his past work as his audience is. He both loves and hates aspects of all of his albums as so many other artists do. Unlike other musician's though, Garcia feels kindred with both his fans and the "haters" but he is still striving for an authenticity only he can define.
Garcia is taking the liberty to explore.Bite The Bullet will be purposefully released by INNERCAT MUSIC GROUP in home based Miami, Florida, where Garcia began his musical life, both geographically and spiritually. Raul Garcia also performs additional vocals on the EP. Bite The Bullet was recorded at Miami based Live House Studio's and was produced by Mariano Aponte. Garcia maintains he felt alive while creating with Aponte. The two felt a "mutual inspiration and experienced a natural flow during production" that was vastly different from other projects either had worked on before. Garcia's previous studio experiences entailed laying down tracks for prestigious and talented yet market conscious producers; producers hired to create the sound an elitist metal community would accept or that a commercial market would devour. Garcia maintains that the "process of recording Bite The Bullet with Aponte has been more pure."
